Beauty ideals such as thinness and symmetry have reached extremes, shaped by sexist and racist stereotypes. Despite growing awareness, these idealized bodies continue to dominate visual culture.
This four-image series uses a woman’s body to explore those expectations, playing with symmetry as both a visual and conceptual tool. Inspired by ancient artistic canons, the work reflects on how certain standards have shifted over time—while others remain deeply rooted.
